The peer review process at IRENOVA is designed to ensure the quality, integrity, and impact of the articles published in the journal. We employ a rigorous and transparent review system that upholds the highest academic standards while maintaining fairness and efficiency. The process involves the following steps:

Initial Submission Check

Upon submission, all manuscripts are assessed by the editorial team for adherence to the journal's aims, scope, and submission guidelines. This includes evaluating originality, relevance, and compliance with ethical standards. As part of this check, authors are required to submit a Turnitin or CrossRef similarity report, with a maximum similarity index of 25%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors for revision before proceeding further.

Assignment to Reviewers

Manuscripts that pass the initial check are assigned to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, impartiality, and ability to provide constructive feedback.

Double-Blind Review

IRENOVA follows a double-blind peer review process, where both the authors' and reviewers' identities are anonymized to ensure unbiased evaluations. Reviewers assess the manuscript for originality, scientific validity, clarity, methodology, and contribution to the field.

Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers provide detailed feedback and make one of the following recommendations:

Accept without revision

Minor revisions required

Major revisions required

Reject

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor makes the final decision on the manuscript. If revisions are required, the manuscript is returned to the authors with specific guidance for improvement. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review if necessary.

Final Acceptance and Publication

Once the manuscript meets all requirements and revisions are satisfactorily addressed, it is accepted for publication. Accepted articles proceed to production for copyediting, formatting, and assignment of a DOI before being published online.

Transparency and Communication

Throughout the process, authors are kept informed of the status of their submission. The journal strives to provide timely and clear communication to ensure an efficient review process.

The peer review process at IRENOVA is designed to foster collaboration and constructive dialogue between authors and reviewers. By adhering to these rigorous standards, we ensure that the research published in the journal is of the highest quality and contributes meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge in science, technology, and engineering.
